Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her best-known role is Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. The actress fell in love with performing in Preparatory School after which she moved to Ohio together with her family during the late 1970s. Her studies in theatre were through Northwestern University. A semester was completed at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in Chicago's theatre for several years, before trying out for film and TV roles. Anna had her first big part in the role of Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. Anna continued to appear in movies and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late the 1990's. She was then placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. The mid-2000's saw her was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. She also starred as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood are also a the highlights of her career. Gunn is also a part of the stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn was in the role of the character Numbered Days in a four-part audio series that was released that will air in 2022. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of life.
